CCA's Peers Using More Prevention (PUMP) is a peer-based outreach program for men who have sex with men throughout Greater Boston. The goal of the program is to offer non-judgmental HIV prevention and education, substance use counseling, and peer support to gay, bisexual, queer, questioning, or gay-for-pay men. We do this through public outreach and special initiatives, workshops, trainings, speaking engagements, and individual counseling on issues of interest to the community.

PUMP staff and volunteers are equipped with first-hand knowledge and experiences of the men we serve. We have staff available to answer questions about HIV risk, living with HIV/AIDS, STDs, substance use, exchanging sex for cash, accessing heath care needs, obtaining mental health support, dealing with discrimination or harassment, and more. We are available to help you meet your needs, when you need support.

We are always seeking experienced or new outreach workers and peer educators who would like to give back to the community. For more information, contact Lee Thornhill at (617) 599-0231.
