ETP

The Emergency Transitional Program (ETP) is a six to nine month transitional housing program. It includes five SRO units at the Central Square YMCA, and five SRO units at the Central Square YWCA. The program serves homeless men and women who are moving from the streets or from an emergency shelter. Program residents are provided with intensive case management and group support services that focus on permanent housing search; vocational and educational assistance; harm reduction activities; and other life skills training. Residents do not pay rent, but are encouraged to put 30 percent of their income into savings.

To be eligible for the ETP, applicants must have:

  • Verification of HIV status
  • Certificate of HUD-defined homelessness
  • Income verification
