The mission of Cambridge Cares About AIDS (CCA) is to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic
by serving those most impacted by social and economic inequality. CCA provides accessible
prevention, education, advocacy, and support services in accordance with harm reduction principles
to help people meet self-identified goals.
To achieve this mission, CCA’s work is guided by the following principles:
-
Individuals and groups are helped to navigate health, social support, and political systems
that impact their lives.
-
All programs are informed by best practices along with emerging, innovative theory.
-
Demographic, social, and behavioral health trends, along with consumer input, are used
to quickly adapt programs to meet changing needs.
-
A healthy organizational infrastructure, that is fiscally sound and responsive to its
employees, is necessary to maintain a workforce that reflects the populations served.
-
Management philosophies and practices are inclusive of and accountable to all stakeholders.
-
The agency actively participates in community dialogue and advocacy efforts that seek to reduce
social and economic inequality.

Public relations and fundraising activities reflect the diversity of
our constituencies.
