In the spring of 2003, CCA pioneered a
consumer educational series called HIV College. Sheila Davis, NP and
Sara Dolan, NP from Massachusetts General Hospital, and staff members
from CCA hatched the idea to meet the need for consumer education about
HIV. This series:
- Targets HIV+ consumers, and individuals who are working in the peer
leader, case management, or social service setting
- Provides updated HIV/AIDS information on a myriad of topics in a
comfortable, non-threatening environment
Accommodates all education levels
Knowledge equals power, and by giving key members of the community an
accurate and up-to-date education, culturally-appropriate sharing of
information can take place. Several community agencies have utilized
this program as a training workshop for their employees and clients, and
found it to be very valuable.
HIV College is moving! Join us in
