Director of Prevention & Education



CCA is seeking a Director
for its Prevention & Education Department.

Cambridge Cares About AIDS (CCA) seeks a highly motivated, experienced leader to ensure high-quality, innovative HIV prevention programs are being delivered to our community’s most vulnerable populations.
.
The mission of Cambridge Cares About AIDS (CCA) is to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic by serving those most impacted by social and economic inequality. CCA provides accessible prevention, education, advocacy and support services in accordance with harm reduction principles to help people meet self-identified goals.

Position Description
The Director of Prevention & Education is responsible for analyzing emerging trends in the target population. The Director develops new programs and modifies existing programs in accordance with these trends. This position currently oversees five prevention programs, ensuring their compliance with contract obligations while also putting innovative theory into practice. As a member of the agency’s senior management team, the Director helps implement the agency’s strategic plan and program management model. In addition the Director works closely with program managers in the daily operations of their respective programs. 


Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of harm reduction philosophy and/or experience delivering services in a harm reduction  framework;
  • Three to five years experience in program development, management and supervision;
  • Proven ability to supervise and manage a diverse workforce;
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills;
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred;
  • Experience with the agency’s target population including people dealing with issues such as HIV/AIDS, substance use, homelessness, mental illness, poverty and trauma.

    Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000
