About us

Since 1989, CCA has created interventions that are sensitive to issues of culture, language, sexual identity, sexual health, and substance use. In 2009, CCA provided direct service to over 3,000 adults and youth from cities and towns throughout eastern Massachusetts. Ethnic and racial minorities make up 70% of CCA’s clients.

CCA’s programming is rooted in the principles of harm reduction, an approach that helps individuals reduce risky behaviors at their own pace. We start by engaging clients through outreach, building trust, and gradually forging supportive relationships so clients become empowered to overcome barriers to care. CCA is a working partnership between staff, clients, and the larger community to improve the lives of everyone impacted by HIV/AIDS.
